Tribal Realty
The Tribal Realty Office utilizes income from the Land Buy Back program to create contracts, leases, permits, and advertisements for agricultural purposes. It conducts compliance inspections and analyzes agricultural fee lands for potential purchase, as well as manages agriculture fee lands owned by the Yankton Sioux Tribe for transfer from fee to trust status.

The office aims to enhance the quality of life and protect the lands of the Ihanktonwan Nation by providing quality services and fostering nation-to-nation relationships.

The Tribal Realty Lands Department staff assist the Tribal Business & Claims Committee with property taxes, land ownership research, land use planning, and the administration of agricultural fee lands, including leasing, permitting, and transfers between fee and trust statuses.
